Tablets are incredibly useful – but can be expensive. They're practical, but fragile. So, it can be worth thinking about getting cover if:
• You don’t want to purchase a replacement tablet if yours is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged.
• You need to get a repaired or replacement tablet quickly if the worst does happen
Good question. The manufacturer's warranty is great protection for your new device if it develops a fault or defect. But this only applies within the manufacturer’s warranty period, which you’ll find on your documentation.
A warranty won't cover accidental damage, loss or theft. That's why you might want to consider options to insure your iPad or tablet
We’ll tell you the monthly cost of your premium at the time of purchase. It, and the excess charge you pay, will be impacted by the replacement cost of your device – if you make a successful claim. Damage Cover starts at £3 a month for tablets, while Full Cover premiums are available from £6 a month.
An excess charge applies when you make a successful claim. The amount of the excess depends on your monthly premium.
| Monthly premium | Excess charge |
|---|---|
| £2 | £25 |
| £3 | £30 |
| £4 | £40 |
| Monthly premium | Excess for damage | Excess for accidental loss or theft |
|---|---|---|
| £4 | £25 | £40 |
| £5 | £30 | £50 |
| £6 | £40 | £60 |
