The WHO and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) recommend that governments adopt the radio-frequency exposure limits developed by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP).
In the UK, the Government has adopted these exposure limits developed by ICNIRP and mobile network operators are required to operate within these guidelines.

5G+ (also known as 5G Standalone)
5G comes in two different types:
5G Non-Standalone (NSA) – this is our current 5G service built on top of our 4G network
5G+ – a new impressive separate network providing enhanced reliability and more advanced features over time
Right now, the experience you have on 5G will be very similar on both Non-Standalone and Standalone.
You can connect to 5G+ straight away, and at no extra cost. All you need is a compatible device, one of our latest SIMs or eSIMs and to be in a 5G+ area – we’ve got over 700 towns and cities fired up already.
