Roaming and data usage within our Europe Zone

We’ve changed our Pay Monthly Roaming Limits when you use your monthly data allowance in our Europe Zone.

When travelling within our Europe Zone, your minutes and text allowances will work like they do in the UK. That includes calls you make and receive within our Europe Zone and back to the UK, and texts you send within our Europe Zone and back to the UK.

From 2 August when you use data in our Europe Zone it will be subject to a Roaming Limit of 25GB ‘Europe Zone Allowance’, if you’re on a tariff that includes over 25GB of data.

How does it work?

Tariffs with more than 25GB of monthly data

If your UK monthly data allowance is over 25GB, you’ll have a Roaming Limit of 25GB when roaming in our Europe Zone. This means you can use up to 25GB of your allowance at no extra cost – we’ll text you if you’re getting close to the limit, and again if you reach it. You can still use data if you reach our Roaming Limit, but you’ll be charged £3.50/GB until the following applies (depending on whichever occurs first);

  • You use up your monthly UK data allowance**
  • You return to the UK
  • You reach your next bill cycle, at which point your Roaming Limit will refresh.

**If you use all your UK data allowance when roaming outside the UK, you’ll need to buy a data Bolt On if you want to keep using data. See our data Bolt Ons here.

Tariffs with 25GB or less of monthly data

These tariffs are not subject to our Roaming Limit of 25GB. But if you use all your UK data allowance when roaming outside of the UK, you’ll need to buy a data Bolt On if you want to keep using data. See our data Bolt Ons here.

Impact of these price and roaming changes

Some of the changes to our out-of-bundle charges and Roaming Limits on Tariffs over 25GB, may mean you have the right to exit your agreement without having to pay an Early Termination Charge. If you choose to exit your agreement and have a related Device Plan you will also have to repay it in full.
