Pay As You Go International Monthly Bolt On Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions are effective from 17 June 2022.

  1. Eligibility: The International Monthly Bolt On (the "Monthly Bolt On") is available to Telefónica UK Limited (“O2”) Pay As You Go customers on any Pay As You Go tariff with sufficient top up credit to pay the Bolt On fee. The Monthly Bolt On costs £2 a month. In addition to our standard terms and conditions for the O2 Pay as You Go Mobile services (the “Pay as You Go Service Terms”) available here,  these terms and conditions will form part of your O2 customer contract once an eligible order for International Monthly Bolt Ons has been accepted by us. The Pay As You Go Service Terms shall also apply to the Monthly Bolt On service.

    1. The Monthly Bolt On provides discounted international calls and texts from UK to selected countries over a period of one calendar month from the date of purchase at lower rates than standard international call and text costs. For the latest international pricing, see o2.co.uk/intsim.

  2. Calls and texts to international premium rate numbers and some satellite numbers and countries are excluded. UK video calls and UK picture messages to international mobiles are also excluded.

  3. UK calls and UK texts to international mobiles will be discounted, even if the international mobile being called is currently located in the UK.

  4. UK calls and UK texts to UK mobiles, when they aren't located in the UK, will be charged at the normal UK rates.

  5. How to get the Bolt On: You can purchase the Monthly Bolt On at any time. To OPT IN to the Monthly Bolt On send a free text message containing the keyword "MONTHLYINTERNATIONAL" to 21300 or call free on 2202 from your O2 mobile.

  6. How to unsubscribe from the Monthly Bolt On: You can opt out of the Monthly Bolt On anytime by providing us with 30 days' notice. To OPT OUT of the Monthly Bolt On send a free text message containing the keyword "InternationalMonthlyOFF" / “1MFOCINTERNATIONALMONTHLYBOLTON” to 21300 or call free on 2202 from your O2 mobile. When you unsubscribe, your Monthly Bolt On will continue until 23:59 on the day you would have been due to renew your Monthly Bolt On for another month (your "Renewal Date")

  7. International call and text rates available with the Bolt On expire. The Monthly Bolt On will continue until the first Renewal Date after you unsubscribe or when the Monthly Bolt On is withdrawn.

  8. If you have insufficient credit available for the Monthly Bolt On, you will lose the lower rates at 23:59 on the day you should have paid the next £2 charge for the Monthly Bolt On.

  9. International calls are charged by the minute, not by the second, and will be rounded up to the nearest minute. Each call charge is then rounded up to the next whole penny.

  10. You can view your Renewal Date of your Monthly Bolt On by visiting o2.co.uk/myo2.

  11. Certain Pay As You Go tariffs already include discounted international calls and texts from the UK as an included benefit within the tariff so if you are on one of these tariffs, you will not receive any additional benefit from the International Monthly Bolt On. Please check before purchasing one of the Bolt Ons. Currently the following tariffs include discounted international calls and texts:

Certain Pay As You Go Bolt Ons already include discounted international calls and texts from the UK so if you have one of these Bolt Ons, you will not receive any additional benefit from the International Monthly Bolt On. Please check before purchasing one of the Bolt On. Currently the following Bolt Ons include discounted international calls and texts:

  1. Subject to clause 12 of your Pay As You Go Service Terms, we reserve the right to withdraw or amend these terms and conditions, the Monthly Bolt On any time on reasonable notice. Please refer to the Pay As You Go Service Terms for more details on our rights to vary and (if applicable) your rights to cancel.

  2. These terms and conditions apply in addition to your standard Pay As You Go Service Terms and standard Pay As You Go Tariff Terms and any other another related or applicable terms and conditions for related services and products you have purchased from O2.
