Flexible tariffs

Say hello to data you can flex up and down, available with selected Pay Monthly devices and SIM Only connections

Change your data to fit your life – every month

O2 Refresh tariffs bought on or after 22 March 2018 (including SIM Only from 2 July 2026) are flexible. This means you can change your airtime tariff up or down to a selection of tariffs, once a month.

Once you’ve had your new device for 30 days, you’ll be able to move between the other tariffs that were available on your phone when you bought it. Simply sign in to My O2 and choose the tariff you want to move to.

If you move to a lower tariff, you could lose some of your benefits – even if you move back to a higher tariff later. This means you may no longer be eligible for the Yearly Upgrade Programme, Free Screen Replacement or Loss and Theft Cover, if they apply to your account.

Don’t worry, we’ll let you know if you’re going to lose any benefits before you confirm your tariff change.

You can change tariffs 30 days after you receive your new device or SIM Only connection. You’ll be able to move between the other tariffs that were available on your purchase when you bought it, subject to an annual RPI adjustment. Simply sign in to My O2 and choose the tariff you’d like to move to.

Your new tariff will start from the day of your next billing date.

From 22 March 2018, flexible tariffs are available on O2 Refresh tariffs for phones, tablets and mobile broadband devices, when bought directly from O2.

If you’re on a flexible tariff and move to a different tariff that also offers these benefits, you’ll keep them. If you move to a lower ineligible tariff, you’ll no longer qualify for these benefits, even if you later move back to a higher tariff. We’ll let you know if you’re going to lose any benefits before you confirm your tariff change.

Whether you’re a new or existing customer, you can change tariffs, but how much flexibility you have depends on which tariff you’ve chosen. Most of our tariffs will let you change to a higher tariff, if you’re eligible. If you’re already on, or upgrade to a flexible tariff, you can move to a higher or lower tariff, once every billing month. Find out more about your tariff terms.
