Anyone can take out one of our Volt bundles to grab Volt benefits. If you’re already with O2, you’ll get Volt benefits once you also take out an eligible Virgin Media broadband pack or bundle.
And the same goes the other way – if you already have Virgin Media broadband but aren’t with O2, you can take out an eligible O2 Pay Monthly SIM, phone or tablet to get Volt benefits.
Or, if there’s already at least one person in your household with an eligible O2 plan and you have Virgin Media broadband registered at the same address, you can get Volt benefits.
Once you’re with both Virgin Media and O2, you can check your eligibility and activate your Volt benefits in My O2 or My Virgin Media.
All you have to do is take out an eligible O2 Pay Monthly SIM, phone or tablet and we’ll give you a broadband speed boost (up to 1Gbps), our WiFi guarantee (if you don’t have it already) including up to three WiFi Pods if needed, double mobile data on all eligible O2 plans in your household and more. When you upgrade or change a tariff on your O2 account, your Volt benefits will drop off temporarily – but don’t worry, they’ll be re-applied within 14 days.
If you leave O2, you’ll lose your double mobile data but you’ll get to keep your boosted Virgin Media broadband speeds. Likewise, if you leave Virgin Media, everyone in the household on an eligible O2 plan will get to keep their double mobile data.
If the address on your Virgin Media broadband account matches the address on your O2 mobile account, your Volt benefits will be added automatically within 14 days. This will happen unless you were already a customer of both before 18 October 2021. In this case, you’ll need to go into My O2 or My Virgin Media to activate your benefits. If they don’t match, you can edit your address in My O2 and My Virgin Media.
