Pay As You Go Simplicity Terms & Conditions (Pre 22nd March 2011)
- This tariff is available to Pay As You Go customers in the UK.
- Pay As You Go Simplicity gives 'inclusive' allowances of either:
- Unlimited texts for a monthly payment of £5; or
- Unlimited text and 100 inclusive cross network minutes for a monthly payment of £10; or
- Unlimited text and 300 inclusive cross network minutes for a monthly payment of £15.
You may add 500MB of UK data to each of the above options for £5 extra a month.
In the event that you do not have sufficient credit for the allowance that you have selected, you will be charged at standard rates in accordance with the charges listed below. Your allowance will be applied when you have sufficient credit available.
- You may choose not to select an 'inclusive' allowance, and use your credit as you wish in accordance with the charges listed below.
- To switch to an 'inclusive' allowance Pay As You Go Simplicity tariff, call 2202 which is free from your O2 phone and select the Simplicity allowance that you want to transfer to. You will receive a text message within 24 hours to confirm that your current inclusive monthly allowance will be replaced with Pay As You Go Simplicity. Text back "simstop" if you want to STOP this tariff switch, otherwise your request will be processed within 48 hours. Texts are charged at your standard tariff rate.
- Customers successfully transferring to Pay As You Go Simplicity from another monthly inclusive allowance will not be activated until their next renewal date, providing they have met the minimum balance requirements.
- By switching to Pay As You Go Simplicity customers are agreeing to replace their current inclusive monthly allowance with the Pay As You Go Simplicity monthly allowance. Any unused allowances will be lost and will not rollover to your new tariff. Customers can only have one tariff's monthly allowance active at any time.
- Eligible customers may change tariffs every 30 days. Existing customers may switch to Pay As You Go Simplicity but please note customers who are currently on the Original or Talkalot tariffs will be moved to our new Simplicity rates if they opt in to Pay As You Go Simplicity. If you move to alternative Pay As You Go tariffs, you will be charged at Talkalot 08 rates. Please see o2.co.uk for more details of these rates.
- O2 reserves the right to remove, vary or amend any element of the Pay As You Go Simplicity terms, If we amend any of these to your disadvantage we will notify you. Notice will be provided by text message. Changes will be effective immediately upon our having notified you.
- Unlimited allowances are subject to an excessive usage policy.

- You can view your remaining tariff allowances by visiting o2.co.uk/myo2 or alternatively you can send BALANCE to 20202 or by calling 4444 which is free from your O2 mobile.
- These terms apply in addition to your airtime agreement which is available at o2.co.uk/terms.
- Your information will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Inclusive Minutes and Call Charges
- Eligible calls made using your inclusive minutes allowance are counted by the minute not by the second and will be rounded up to the nearest minute. Calls made outside your inclusive minutes allowance to landline and mobiles are charged by the minute, not by the second, and will be rounded up to the nearest minute. Each call charge is then rounded up to the next whole penny. Calls made outside your inclusive minutes allowance to voicemail are charged per call at the standard tariff rate.

Your inclusive minutes allowance can be used for calls (including video calls) made in the UK from your O2 mobile to:
- UK landlines starting 01, 02 or 03; and
- Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man landlines; and
- Numbers allocated to UK mobile network operators that provide mobile services with substantial national coverage. This currently includes the major mobile operators O2, Everything Everywhere (formerly known as Orange and T-Mobile), Vodafone and 3, and other virtual mobile providers such as Virgin Mobile and Tesco Mobile; and
- Calls to voicemail, including access to voicemail menus and voicemail retrieval.
- O2 may exclude from your inclusive minutes allowance any calls which we reasonably believe are being used for call forwarding services, onward calling services or numbers that pay a revenue share.
- If you have a Bolt On which includes a UK minutes allowance, your inclusive minutes allowance will be used first followed by your Bolt On minutes allowance. This does not apply to the More O2 Minutes and More Minutes Bolt Ons which will always be used before your inclusive minutes allowance.
- Once you've used all your inclusive minutes allowance and any Bolt On minutes allowance you may have, any calls made in the UK to numbers which would previously have been included will be charged at the standard tariff rate.
- Calls to O2 Customer Service on 4445 from your O2 mobile are free or you can call 0344 809 0222 from any other line. Hours of opening are 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm Saturday and 8am to 6pm Sunday.
- Calls to selected telephone help lines are free of charge. A full list can be viewed at o2.co.uk/free

Your inclusive minutes allowance cannot be used for calls made in the UK for the following:
- Calls to 08, 05 and 07 service numbers. Charges for calls to these numbers can be viewed at o2.co.uk/servicenumbers
- Calls to premium rate and directory enquiries numbers. Charges for calls to these numbers can be viewed at o2.co.uk/premium
- Any calls made whilst abroad, including whilst in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man, will be charged at standard roaming rates, which can be viewed at o2.co.uk/abroad
- Any calls made from the UK to an international destination, including Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man mobiles, will be charged at standard international rates, which can be viewed at o2.co.uk/international
Inclusive Texts and Message Charges
- Your inclusive texts allowance can be used for texts sent in the UK to 07 numbers allocated to UK mobile network operators that provide mobile services with substantial national coverage. This currently includes the major mobile operators O2, Everything Everywhere (formerly known as Orange and T-Mobile), Vodafone and 3, and other virtual mobile providers such as Virgin Mobile and Tesco Mobile.
- O2 may exclude from your inclusive texts allowance any texts sent to any number ranges which O2 reasonably believes are being used for call forwarding services, onward calling services or numbers that pay a revenue share.
- If you have a Bolt On which includes a UK texts allowance, your inclusive texts allowance will be used first followed by your Bolt On texts allowance.
- Once you've used all your inclusive texts allowance and any Bolt On texts allowance you may have, any UK texts sent to UK mobiles will be charged at the standard tariff rate.

Your inclusive texts allowance cannot be used for:

- Any chargeable messages you receive.
- Picture messages or video messages which are not included in your inclusive texts allowance and are charged at your standard tariff rate.
Inclusive Data and Data Charges
- Your inclusive data allowance can only be used in the UK. When using your phone whilst abroad, data will be charged at standard roaming rates. For details, visit o2.co.uk/abroad
- If you have a Bolt On which includes a UK data allowance, your inclusive data allowance will be used first followed by your Bolt On data allowance. This does not apply to the Web Daily Bolt On which will always be used before your inclusive data allowance.
- After you've used your inclusive data allowance and any Bolt On data allowance you may have, you'll be charged at standard tariff rates when using data in the UK subject to a daily fair usage. - A day is based on from 00:00 to 23:59 UK time.
- You can use O2 UK's 2G (GPRS and Edge) and 3G data networks when using your inclusive data allowance.
- To use any of O2's data services, your mobile must be data compatible and enabled for the type of data network you want to access. Access to data services is subject to network coverage.
- All data usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes.
