We’ll credit back roaming charges in the USA until 20 July for eligible pay monthly customers
To celebrate England going further, we’re also going further. If you get any roaming charges in the USA between 6 July and 20 July, we’ll credit them back to you. So, you can check in with the group chat, post those pics and scroll through the stats ahead of the match – with one less thing to worry about.
Anyone with a Pay Monthly Classic Plan.
You will need to purchase, in the USA, an O2 Travel Bolt On or use our standard roaming rates and take out a Data Roaming Bolt On between 6 July and 20 July. Both can be added in My O2. You’ll then be credited for any USA charges before your bill is paid.
You don’t have to do a thing – we’ll find the eligible USA roaming charges on your bill and automatically credit them back. You should see the charges on your bill, but also the credit we’ve given you for them.
Please note that credit will only be applied for roaming purchased in the USA between 6 July and 20 July. If you travel elsewhere and purchase a Bolt On, these charges will appear on your bill as normal.
It starts at midnight Pacific Time (PT) on 6 July, which is 8am British Summer Time (BST). It ends at midnight Pacific Time (PT) on 20 July.
After the offer has ended, you will need to disable the O2 Travel Bolt On, or your standard roaming rates with the Data Roaming Bolt On in the MyO2 app. If you do not disable these, the relevant roaming charges will apply.
Roaming in the USA is already included in your plan, so you won’t be charged for it.
Any roaming charges in the USA, including our O2 Travel Bolt On (£7 a day), calls (normally charged at £3 a minute), SMS messages (normally £1 per text) and our Data Roaming Bolt Ons (1GB for £6, 3GB for £13 and 5GB for £18).
It is possible that eligible USA roaming charges will appear on your bill. However, even if these charges appear on your bill, you will not be billed for eligible roaming charges when your direct debit is paid. If you have any issues or queries, please contact us.
1. Introduction
1.1 These terms and conditions (Terms) govern the O2 USA Roaming Credit Promotion (Promotion). By participating, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.2 The Promotion is offered by Telefonica UK Limited, 500 Brook Drive, Reading, Berkshire, RG2 6UU, United Kingdom (O2).
1.3 A summary of the Promotion appears in O2 marketing materials. In the event of any inconsistency, these Terms take precedence.
2. The Benefit
2.1 Eligible customers who complete a Qualifying Action during the Promotion Period (as defined below) will receive an account credit equal to the cost of all Eligible Bolt Ons purchased during the Promotion Period and the value of standard roaming call and text charges incurred in the USA during the Promotion Period (Benefit).
2.2 The Benefit will be applied as a credit to the customer’s O2 account by their next payment date.
2.3 The Benefit is an account credit only, has no cash value, is not refundable or exchangeable, and cannot be transferred or applied to any account other than the Eligible Customer’s own O2 account.
2.4 The Benefit will be applied only if the Eligible Customer’s account remains active and in good standing at the time the credit is due to be applied. If the account is suspended, terminated or in arrears at that time, the Benefit may be forfeited.
2.5 The Benefit does not apply to any charges other than as expressly set out in clause 2.1.
3. Eligibility and Participation
3.1 The Promotion is open to existing O2 customers on Pay Monthly Classic Plans only (Eligible Customers).
3.2 The Promotion is not available to Pay As You Go (PAYG) customers or to customers on any tariff other than a Pay Monthly Classic Plan.
3.3 To participate, Eligible Customers must be physically located in the USA at the time they complete a Qualifying Action.
3.4 Accounts must be active, not barred or suspended, and in good standing with no overdue amounts or missed payments at the time of the Qualifying Action and when the Benefit is applied. O2 reserves the right to withhold or withdraw the Benefit where an account is in arrears, subject to a credit control restriction, or otherwise in breach of O2’s terms of service.
3.5 The Promotion is for personal, non-commercial use only and is non-transferable. No bulk, group, automated or third-party participation is permitted.
4. Promotion Period and Time Zone
4.1 The Promotion runs from 00:01 on 06/07/2026 (Pacific Time, PT) to 00:00 on 20/07/2026 (PT) (Promotion Period).
4.2 All times and dates are determined by PT. O2’s network and billing records will be final and conclusive as to eligibility, timing, usage and charges incurred for the purposes of this Promotion.
5. Qualifying Actions and Included/Excluded Charges
5.1 A customer completes a Qualifying Action where, while physically in the USA during the Promotion Period, the customer:
(a) purchases any O2 Travel Bolt On or Zone 1 Data Roaming Bolt On (each an Eligible Bolt On); and/or
(b) makes or receives standard roaming calls or sends standard roaming texts in the USA that are charged at O2’s prevailing standard roaming rates during the Promotion Period (Standard Roaming Charges).
5.2 Included for the Benefit:
(a) the full purchase price of any Eligible Bolt On purchased in the USA during the Promotion Period; and
(b) Standard Roaming Charges for calls and texts incurred in the USA during the Promotion Period.
5.3 Excluded from the Benefit:
(a) any charges incurred outside the USA or outside the Promotion Period;
(b) data usage except where covered by an Eligible Bolt On purchased in accordance with clause 5.1(a);
(c) any charges associated with non-eligible or incorrectly purchased products, mistaken purchases, or purchases not recorded on O2’s systems; and
(d) any charges not appearing on O2’s billing systems due to latency or third-party reporting issues, or charges later reversed or refunded for any reason.
5.4 O2’s Fair Use Policy applies to roaming services and to any Eligible Bolt On. Please see the Fair Use Policy.
5.5 The Promotion does not alter the underlying roaming rates or Bolt On pricing. Customers will be charged in the usual way and, if eligible, will receive the Benefit by way of account credit in accordance with these Terms.
5.6 Use of any Eligible Bolt On is subject to the applicable terms of use for the O2 Travel Bolt On and the Zone 1 Data Roaming Bolt On, as applicable and as may be amended from time to time. 6. How to Claim
6.1 No separate claim is required. Participation is automatic provided the customer meets the eligibility criteria and completes a Qualifying Action in accordance with paragraph 5.
6.2 O2’s network and billing systems will determine whether the customer was located in the USA at the relevant time, whether an Eligible Bolt On was purchased in the Promotion Period, and whether Standard Roaming Charges were incurred in the Promotion Period. These records will be final for the purposes of the Promotion.
7. Other Important Terms
7.1 O2 reserves the right to refuse, withhold, suspend, amend or withdraw the Promotion or any part of it, including these Terms, at any time where necessary for reasons outside O2’s reasonable control, to ensure compliance with applicable law or regulation, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect O2’s legitimate business interests. Any changes will not affect customers who have already validly completed a Qualifying Action prior to the change, save where required by law or regulatory authority.
7.2 Responsibility for tax liabilities, if any, arising from participation in the Promotion remains with the customer.
7.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, O2 will not be liable for:
(a) any loss, damage, harm or expense arising from participation in the Promotion or from any delay or failure in any transmission, network or system that may affect any purchase, usage, eligibility or Benefit; or
(b) any indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits O2’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7.4 No cash or other alternative is available. The Benefit cannot be transferred, assigned, resold or exchanged.
7.5 If there is any conflict between communications about the Promotion and these Terms, these Terms will prevail.
7.6 If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed deleted and the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.
7.7 These Terms, together with O2’s standard terms for your tariff and any applicable service-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement relating to the Promotion.
7.8 O2 may withhold or claw back the Benefit where O2 reasonably suspects fraud, breach of these Terms, misuse, or where the underlying charges are refunded or reversed.
7.9 The Promotion is for personal consumer use only and may not be used for commercial purposes.
8. Privacy and Data
8.1 O2 will process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and O2’s Privacy Policy. O2 will use your data to administer the Promotion, including to verify eligibility, apply the Benefit and prevent fraud or abuse.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
9.1 These Terms (and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them) are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
9.2 You can bring legal proceedings (including any non-contractual dispute or claim) arising out of or in connection with these Terms exclusively in the English courts. However, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your local courts.
