If you’re a Digital Whiz, we think you'll love the Huawei P10. With its impressive specs and Leica-designed cameras, it's causing quite a stir. It's got a capacity of 64GB, so there's plenty of room for all your apps and games. And with a speedy processor, it won't let you down while you're binge watching your favourite shows. It's got a sleek design to match its high-end performance too, so you won't want to let it out of your hand (not that you would anyway).
If you’re a Young Professional, we think you'll love the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. It's one of the most popular phones on the market, and there are plenty of reasons why. First of all, it's stunning. With its iconic curved screen, light-up buttons and choice of three colours, it looks and feels luxurious. Then there are the features. Take snaps with its 12MP camera, block spam calls and access your favourite apps in a flash, with the edge screen. It's perfect for taking on holiday too. You can download movies and games for the flight. And it's waterproof, so you can even take it to the beach without the worry.
If you’re a Busy Parent, we think you'll love the Sony Xperia X. It's got a battery that can last up to two days, so it's perfect for when you're too busy to think about powering up (or when one of the kids has pinched your charger). You can use fingerprint recognition to make sure the little ones can't get into your phone without your say so. And with Smart Capture to keep moving objects in focus, the camera's perfect for family snaps too. Download the Priority app onto your phone and you'll be able to enjoy extra treats, on us. You've earned it.
If you’re a Fun Lover, we think you’ll love the OnePlus 3T. It’s perfect for streaming on the go, with a 5.5 inch screen and super speedy processor. You don’t have to worry if you run out of juice either. Dash Charge helps you get over 60% charge in half an hour – that’s seven hours of HD video. And you can customise everything from colours to battery features, so it’s great for expressing your creative side too. But the most impressive feature of the OnePlus 3T is probably its 16MP cameras. It’s got stabilising settings to help you avoid blurry pictures, plus autofocus and a speedy shutter. So you can take perfect snaps for your Instagram or Pinterest.
If you’re a Tech Beginner, we think you'll love the ZTE Blade A110. With all the features you need in a simple format, it's the perfect first smartphone. It comes pre-loaded with apps, so you won't have to spend ages setting it up the way you want. You can take photos from the main camera or selfie camera, and then upload them to Facebook to share with your friends and family. And with a 4 inch screen, it's pretty compact, so you'll be able to hold it comfortably in one hand.
If you’re a Budgeting Expert, we think you'll love the HTC Desire 650. It's got all the features you'd expect from an Android phone, and offers great value too. You can choose to save money with a Pay Monthly contract, or just buy the phone outright on Pay As You Go. It's got a 5 inch screen and a high quality amp, so you can enjoy TV or music on it. And you can even personalise it with pictures of your family or pets.
What we think
The perfect Android phone depends on who you are and how you'll use it. But it wouldn't be a proper battle if we didn't pick a winner. So we spoke to Jack, who works in our Slough, Bath Road store, to get his opinion on the best Android phone.
"There's only one winner for me, and that's the Galaxy S7 edge. I can't fault its overall performance – it's one of the best on the market. The curved screen looks good and is a convenient way of getting to your apps. The best bit? It recognises spam numbers, so it warns you while your phone's ringing. And using it with the Samsung Gear VR gets you really involved in the tech and brings movies to life."
