What's happening?

We’re updating some of our older Pay as You Go tariffs and Bolt Ons – simplifying them so they’re more suited to the way people use their phones today. We’ll be making these switches throughout early 2025 – so you might notice a few changes to your services. Don’t worry – we’ll let you know by text at least 14 days before we do anything.

With so many different ways to customise your Pay as You Go package, it’s hard to say exactly how you’ll be affected – but generally we’re updating you to tariffs and Bolt Ons with increased minutes, texts or data. The cost of your tariff won’t increase.

If you’re happy with what we have chosen, we’ll handle everything for you. 

You can pick your own Big Bundle or Rolling plan tariff in My O2, by calling 2202 (free from your O2 mobile) or 0344 809 0202 (standard network charges apply) from any other phone.

Any changes to your tariff or Bolt Ons will be shown in My O2 after the update. If you’d rather hear them over the phone, give us a ring on 2202.

If the updates don’t suit you, we’ve got plenty great value tariffs or Bolt Ons to switch to at anytime. We’ll give you at least 14 days’ notice by text message and send a reminder before any changes come into effect. Bolt Ons which have activated can be removed in My O2 or by sending the unique opt out keyword text to 21300. These can be found here.

It’ll be restarted, and your Bolt On allowance will be refreshed free of charge – so you won’t lose anything in the switch. From then on, it’ll refresh on the same day as your tariff at your usual monthly charge.

Once updated, you will be able to opt into any promotion we have running on the tariff. All you need to do is follow the guidance on the promotional tariff page for existing customers.

Yes, your new tariff will give you allowances similar to your previous one and is also allocated based on your top up.

Unless specified, out of bundle charges will be 55p per min for calls, 30p per text message, 55p per picture message & £3/MB up to max £2 per day for up to 100MB data.

Yes, if we’ve sent you a separate text advising you to update your SIM and you haven’t yet, this is still required.

Of course. You can still request a PAC to move your number to another provider. Just text PAC to 65075 from the number you want to keep – we’ll send you everything you need within a minute.
