Bolt Ons for Pay Monthly plans
Bolt Ons are products which can be added to your regular monthly plan, whenever you need them. For example, if you’re running low on data, you can top up with a Data Bolt On. There’s also an International Bolt On for calling abroad, and a range of Travel Bolt Ons if you're going away yourself.
If you're already with O2, you can manage your Bolt Ons in My O2. Otherwise you can add them once you've joined us. If you have a Spend Cap, the price of these Bolt Ons will not be included within your Spend Cap.

Data Bolt Ons
Data Bolt Ons let you stay online when you’ve run out of monthly data.
A one-off payment gets you a set amount of data to use within the UK and Europe Zone. If you add a Bolt On, it will start today and will remain valid for over 30 days. To choose a Data Bolt On, sign into My O2.

International Bolt On
Calling or texting any other country (even within our Europe Zone) from the UK is classed as an international call or text. Normally, these calls and texts are charged at standard international rates.
You can save money on international calling by adding our International Bolt On. For £3.00 a month, the International Bolt On gives you discounted rates on calls and texts to international mobile and landline numbers.
You can add the International Bolt On to your monthly plan in My O2.

Travel Bolt Ons
When you’re roaming in our Europe Zone, you’re free to use your phone just like you would in the UK, subject to a roaming limit.
Some plans include the O2 Travel Inclusive Zone Bolt On, or O2 Travel Inclusive Zone Ultimate Bolt On which cover roaming in certain other countries. Head to My O2 to check what’s included in your tariff.
While you’re travelling, we’ll send you a series of messages to make you aware of your roaming options. Or you can check the options for your destination.

O2 Travel Bolt On
Outside our Europe Zone, the O2 Travel Bolt On provides unlimited roaming in Zones 1 and 2 (75 destinations) for a £7 daily charge. You’ll only be charged on days you use the Bolt On. To opt into the O2 Travel Bolt On, just head to My O2 and browse Bolt Ons, or we’ll send you a link when you land.

Data Roaming Bolt Ons
Outside our Europe Zone, if you’re not covered by your plan or don’t have an O2 Travel Bolt On, you’ll be charged our standard roaming rates for calls and texts. To use data, you’ll need to add a Data Roaming Bolt On.
A Data Roaming Bolt On gets you a fixed data allowance for a one-off payment, rather than being charged per day. Data Roaming Bolt Ons remain valid for at least 30 days from the date of purchase. A range of Data Roaming Bolt Ons are available for each travel zone, so check which Bolt Ons cover your destination.

Our MMS Bolt On can save you money when you’re sending images or videos by MMS. For £5.11 a month, you get 50 pictures or videos.

If you're deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired, you can use the Next Generation Text Service (NGTS) to make calls.

International calling
All calls and texts sent from the UK to another country is treated as an international call or text. This includes calls or texts to countries within our Europe Zone. Normally, these calls and texts are charged at our standard international call rates. However, some Pay As You Go plans include bundled international minutes and/or discounted international rates. Alternatively, you can access these discounted rates with our International Monthly Bolt On.

Travel
