How to disconnect your non-O2 number
If you’re switching to O2 from another network and you don’t want to keep your old phone number, we can arrange for it to be disconnected on your behalf using a STAC (Service Termination Authorisation Code) from your old network.
To get one, just text ‘STAC’ to 75075 from the number you want to disconnect. You’ll get a STAC within 60 seconds. Once you’ve received it, you’ll need to use it within 30 days. The easiest way to so this is by signing into My O2.
• From My O2 on our website, in the main menu, choose ‘Keep, cancel or take on a number’ under the ‘Settings’ section and follow the on-screen instructions.
• In the My O2 app, choose ‘Keep, cancel or claim a number’ in the ‘Quick links’ section.
