When was Quest 2 released?

Meta Quest 2 (initially sold as Oculus Quest 2) was unveiled on September 16, 2020. It's been available to purchase with O2 from October 27, 2022.

What is the Meta Quest 2 used for?

The Meta Quest 2 is a virtual reality headset. You can use it to play games and enjoy other immersive experiences in VR without having to use a PC or gaming device.

How much storage does Quest 2 have?

The Quest 2 is available in 128 GB. There is currently no availability for expanded storage.

What are the Quest 2 headset dimensions?

The headset measures at 224mm x 450mm. The weight of Quest 2 is 176 grams, making the headset 68 grams lighter than its predecessor (Quest 1).

Is Meta Quest 2 the same as Oculus Quest 2?

The Oculus Quest 2 was later rebranded to Meta Quest 2. Both names refer to the same headset device, however the Quest 2 has been upgraded with 1832 x 1920 resolution per eye.

What comes in the Quest 2 box?

You will receive a VR headset, two touch controllers, two AA batteries, a silicone cover, glasses spacer, charging cable and power adapter.

What colours is the Quest 2 available in?

The Quest 2 is currently available in one colour: White.

Direct purchases only. Pay the cash price for your device or spread the cost over 3 to 36 months (excludes dongles). Certain device costs available to be spread over 3 to 48 months. The device cost will be the same whatever you choose. There may be an upfront cost. You can pay off your Device Plan at any time and choose to keep your Airtime Plan, upgrade it, or leave. If you are in the first 24 months of your Device Plan and you cancel your Airtime Plan you will have to pay the remainder of your Device Plan in full. After 24 months you can keep your Airtime Plan, upgrade it, or end it without affecting your Device Plan.

 

 

Plans unlink after 24 months

 

For customers who took out an O2 Refresh custom plan on or after 17 December 2021, your Airtime Plan and Device plans unlink after 24 months. This means that if you are in the first 24 months of your Device Plan you will have to pay off your Device Plan in full if you decide to end your Airtime Plan (but we won’t charge you an Early Termination Charge to exit your Airtime Plan). 

 

After 24 months you can: keep your Airtime and Device Plans without changing anything, Cancel your Airtime Plan and keep paying off your Device Plan instalments or, Cancel your Airtime Plan and pay off your Device Plan in full. For customers who took out an O2 Refresh custom plan before the 17 December 2021, the Airtime and Device Plans remain linked for the duration of the Device Plan, this means you will have to pay off your Device Plan in full if you decide to end your Airtime Plan at any point (but we won’t charge you an Early Termination Charge to exit your Airtime Plan).
