- What is our Like New range of refurbished phones?
Like New is our range of curated refurbished phones. We check for everything from scuffed screens and cracked cases to bashed-up buttons to make sure all our refurbished phones are in excellent condition.
- What’s included with a refurbished phone?
As part of our push toward a sustainable future, all our refurbished phones are delivered in recyclable boxes.
They come with a USB charging cable and a tool to change the SIM. To avoid waste, we don’t include a mains plug. That means fewer unused adapters rattling around in drawers, and ultimately fewer in landfill.
If you need headphones or any other accessories, we’ve got you covered. Just add them to your basket after choosing your tariff.
- Are refurbished phones really better for the planet?
Purchasing a refurbished phone from our Like New range reduces emissions, uses fewer virgin materials and emits less CO2 compared to buying a new one. See our substantiation document based on a report by Cordella et al. Using a lifecycle assessment model, the study investigated the carbon footprint of smartphones and lifecycle costs for consumers in scenarios where different material efficiency strategies are implemented in Europe. Findings revealed that a significant portion of the carbon footprint of smartphones is in material extraction and processing as well as parts manufacture. Material extraction includes the mining of minerals, oil extraction and the use of any other non-recycled resources.
- What quality should I expect with a refurbished phone?
We test all our refurbished phones to make sure they’re in great shape. You might see the odd sign of wear, but they’ll always be free from deep scratches and cracks.
In fact, because we’re so confident in them, you’ll get our 3-year warranty if you choose a Plus Plan or Ultimate Plan, or a year’s warranty if you don’t. That’s exactly the same as you’d get with our brand-new phones.
- What do you mean by ‘At least 80% battery health’?
Battery health starts at 100% and naturally decreases over time. The lower the percentage, the less power you’ll get out of a full charge. All our refurbished phones arrive with at least 80% battery health – so you won’t be running out of juice unexpectedly.
- Where can I buy a refurbished phone?
You can pick up a refurbished phone online or over the phone. We don’t stock refurbished phones in store, but you can place an order to be delivered to your home or store if you’d like.
- What if I’m unhappy with my refurbished phone?
We’re confident you’ll be happy with your refurbished phone. But you’ll have 14 days to exchange or return it if it’s not up to scratch – or even if you just change your mind.
