I have problems establishing a wireless connection to my O2 WiFi hub 1
If you can't establish a wireless connection to your hub, there may be several causes of the problem.
- Click Advanced settings.
- Click Wireless.
- Click Security.
- Click the field next to ’WiFi Network Name (SSID)’ below the required WiFi network and key in the required name for the WiFi network.If connected devices are to continue switching automatically between using both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz connections, key in the same SSID name and password for both WiFi networks.
- Click Apply changes.Please note that the internet connection is ended and you need to establish a wireless internet connection again with the new settings.
Turn on wireless connections on your computer.
- Do not place your hub in drawers and cupboards.
- Do not place your hub close to walls and electronic equipment such as baby monitors and wireless phones which may interrupt the WiFi signal.
- Place your hub centrally in your home or near the place where the WiFi network is used the most.
- Place your hub as high up as possible.
- Place your hub in an area with no obstacles which could block the WiFi signal.When you've tried optimising the WiFi signal, you can test the coverage and speed of your wireless internet connection to see if it has improved.
- Press the power switch to turn off your hub.
- Disconnect the power supply from the power supply port. Wait for at least 10 seconds.
- Connect the power supply to the power supply port.
- Press the power switch to turn on your hub. It may take 5-10 minutes for your hub to start up and re-establish the internet connection.When the front info LED turns solid white, your hub is ready for use.
