I have problems with the speed of the internet connection being lower than expected on my O2 WiFi extender
If the speed of the internet connection is lower than expected, there may be several causes of the problem.
- Turn the back of the WiFi extender towards you.
- Connect the power supply to the power plug and to a wall socket.
- Press On/Off to turn on the WiFi extender and wait for it to start up.When the status LED turns solid white, the WiFi extender is ready for use.
- Turn the back of the WiFi extender towards you.
- Press On/Off to turn off the WiFi extender.
1. Optimise WiFi signal
Place your WiFi extender halfway between your hub and the area where you want to improve WiFi coverage. The WiFi extender should not be placed more than 6-9 metres from your hub, and with no more than one floor between the WiFi extender and your hub.
Please note that the technician has placed the WiFi extender in the most optimal location, and you should therefore not move it to a new location.

- Do not place your WiFi extender behind furniture or in drawers and cupboards.
- Do not place your WiFi extender close to electronic equipment such as baby monitors and wireless phones which may interrupt the WiFi signal.
- Do not place your WiFi extender in a bathroom, as it is not waterproof.
- Place your WiFi extender in an area with no obstacles which could block the WiFi signal.
- If you need to place your WiFi extender on another floor, place it directly above your hub or another WiFi extender for the best possible connection.
- Do not connect the WiFi extender to power via an extension cord.
