How to use Face ID on your Apple iPhone 14 Plus

You can set your phone to use face recognition as lock code or to authorise iTunes and App Store purchases.

Step 1 of 7

Press Settings.

Press Settings.
Press Face ID & Passcode.
Press Set Up Face ID.
Press Get Started and follow the instructions on the screen to set up Face ID.
Press Done. If you haven't previously selected a phone lock code, key in a code of your own choice twice.
Press the indicators next to the required settings to turn them on or off.
You can use your Face ID to turn off the phone lock code, allow access to apps and authorise payments.
Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
