Quick checks to try first
Before you arrange help, try these troubleshooting tips:
Restart your device
Turn your device off, wait a few seconds then turn it back on. This can clear temporary glitches and refresh your connection.
Check for software updates
Make sure your device software and apps are up to date. Updates often include fixes that help with performance, security and known bugs.
Free up storage
Low storage can slow your device down or stop apps working properly. Delete any apps, photos, videos or files you no longer need.
Check your charger and cable
If your device isn’t charging properly, try another compatible charger and cable from a reputable supplier. Avoid using damaged cables or chargers.
Back up your device
Save your contacts, photos, messages and files regularly. This helps keep your important stuff safe if your device ever needs to be repaired or replaced.
Keep your device dry
Moisture can damage your device, even if it’s described as water resistant. Try to keep it away from rain, steam and wet pockets. Water damage may not be covered by warranty.
Keep your device away from extreme heat or cold
Avoid leaving it somewhere very hot or cold, like on a radiator, in direct sunlight or in a car on a warm day. Extreme temperatures can affect battery life and performance.
Remove anything you don’t need
Old apps, unused widgets and too many background tasks can slow things down. Removing what you don’t use can help your device run better.
