Pay Monthly Roaming Bolt Ons

We’re in the process of moving every O2 account over to a new and improved system. This new system will give you a better experience when you’re talking to our customer service teams and when you’re making purchases. It’ll also make it faster for us to develop and deliver new products to everyone on O2. To find out if you’re on the new system yet, ask us on Live Chat or over the phone.

Unless included in your Monthly Subscription Charge as a Supplementary Service for your core services under our standard terms and conditions for the O2 Pay Monthly Mobile services (the “Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement”) available here. O2 Pay Monthly Roaming Bolt Ons is an Optional Add-on Service as defined in our Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement. The Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement shall also apply to the O2 Pay Monthly Roaming Bolt Ons. In addition to the Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement, these terms and conditions will form part of your O2 customer contract once an eligible order for Pay Monthly Roaming Bolt Ons has been accepted by us.

You can cancel Pay Monthly Roaming Bolt Ons at any time by providing us with 30 days' notice. Where you cancel this Bolt On, your underlying pay monthly mobile service remains unaffected and shall continue as normal.

Pay Monthly Roaming Bolt On Terms – if you’re on our old system:

  1. The £43.00 (Inc VAT) spend cap is the default for data usage in Europe on all consumer pay monthly tariffs without O2 Travel.
  2. The £40.00 (Ex VAT) spend cap is the default for data usage in the Rest of the World on all consumer pay monthly tariffs.
  3. The £43.00 spend cap gives you 255MB in Europe and the £40.00 spend cap gives you 50MB in the rest of the world, per billing month and the £120.00 (Inc VAT where applicable) spend cap gives you 705MB in Europe or 200MB in the rest of the world per month abroad.
  4. Customers who have an existing Data Abroad bundle will have the £43.00 Europe, £40.00 rest of the world spend cap applied once the bundle limit is reached.
  5. If you have reached the volume limit for the spend cap relevant to you the service will stop.
  6. Customers with the £43.00 Europe, £40 rest of the world spending cap who want to use more than 255MB/50MB of roaming data, can text DATALIMIT200 to 23336 to be moved to the £120.00 spending cap option.
  7. Customers with the £120.00 spending cap, who want to use more than 705MB/200MB of roaming data, can text NODATALIMIT to 23336 to use the data roaming service without any limit.
  8. Customers can move from the £43.00 Europe, £40 rest of the world option to the £120.00 option at any time, but can only move back from the £120.00 to the £43.00 Europe, £40 rest of the world option at the end of the monthly billing period.
  9. Customers can move from the £120.00 option to the No Limit option at any time, but can only move back from the No Limit option to the £43.00 Europe, £40 rest of the world or £120 option at the end of the monthly billing period.
  10. It will take up to 24 hours to make changes to your tariff option.
  11. Customers can re-apply a spending cap by calling customer services.
  12. You will receive automatic usage alerts when you use data abroad. The alerts will be sent when you first start using data, when you hit the spend cap, at 80% of the spend cap limit and when the limit is reached.
  13. If you change the spend cap you are using, it will take up to 24 hours for the usage alerts to show this. The usage alerts are a free service to help you manage your data usage. O2 does not accept responsibility for notifications which are not received for any reason. You are responsible for how much data you use.
  14. Unused allowances cannot be carried over into subsequent months.
  15. Only one spend cap option can be taken at any one time.
  16. Subject to paragraph 8 of the Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement, O2 reserves the right to remove or vary any elements of the spend caps, including pricing, these Terms and/or the Data Roaming Bolt On service. Notice will be given in accordance with the Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement. Please refer to the Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement for more details on our rights to vary and your rights to cancel.
  17. Use of data is subject to network coverage.
  18. Data usage is charged in 1KB increments. 1MB is 1,024KB. Charges are made only for data received and sent.
  19. Your normal Airtime, Tariff and Bolt On terms apply.

Pay Monthly Data Roaming Bolt Ons Terms - if you’re on our new system:

  1. Data Roaming Bolt Ons can be bought if you're a Pay Monthly customer roaming outside of our Europe Zone.
  2. The Data Roaming Bolt Ons, will allow you use of the roaming data network via your mobile phone (internet capable phones only). The relevant Data Roaming Bolt On includes a specified one-off data allowance for the relevant World Zone. All data usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes.
  3. You may only buy one Data Roaming Bolt On in each World Zone at any one time.
  4. Any unused data bought using a Data Roaming Bolt On will roll-over into the next monthly billing period.
  5. You will receive automatic usage alerts when you use the Data Roaming Bolt Ons at 80% and 100% of the data allowance. If you reach 100% of the data allowance, the service will stop.
  6. Subject to paragraph 8 of the Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement, we reserve the right to withdraw or amend these Data Roaming Bolt Ons at any time on reasonable notice. Please refer to the Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement for more details on our rights to vary and (if applicable) your rights to cancel.
