What are Volt benefits?

When your household is with Virgin Media and O2 you’ll get supercharged speeds, data and WiFi. That means double the mobile data on every eligible O2 Pay Monthly plan in your household. A broadband speed boost to the next available level (if you aren’t already on the fastest speeds you can get in your area) in your household, with up to 3 WiFi Pods if needed. And O2 Travel Inclusive Zone, so you can go roam in 75 destinations at no extra cost.

You will be able to see your supercharged data allowances and O2 Travel Inclusive Zone Bolt On in My O2.

Plus, if you take out a phone on a new O2 Custom Plan, you’ll get up to £150 off an O2 Custom Plan for a connected device. Just give O2 a ring or pop into an O2 shop.

To get your Volt benefits, you need to either be a customer of both O2 mobile and Virgin Media broadband, an existing eligible O2 Pay Monthly customer with a Virgin Media broadband service registered to your address, or an existing Virgin Media broadband customer with at least one eligible O2 Pay Monthly tariff registered to your address.


Who can get Volt benefits?

To get your Volt benefits, you need to either be a customer of both O2 mobile and Virgin Media broadband, an existing eligible O2 Pay Monthly customer with a Virgin Media broadband service registered to your address, or an existing Virgin Media broadband customer with at least one eligible O2 Pay Monthly tariff registered to your address.

Already got both O2 mobile and Virgin Media broadband? Or your household meets one of the other criteria listed above? You can check your eligibility and activate your benefits in My O2. Your O2 Pay Monthly plan must be registered at the same address as the Virgin Media broadband service.

Benefits will be applied to every mobile device on your O2 account excluding watches and tablets.

Just for being with us both.

I'm a customer of both Virgin Media and O2

When your household is with both Virgin Media and O2, you’ll get supercharged speeds, data and WiFi. That means double the mobile data on every eligible O2 Pay Monthly plan in your household. You’ll also get a broadband speed boost to the next available level (if you aren’t already on the fastest speeds you can get in your area). WiFi Pods are available if you find any WiFi blackspots in your home. Plus O2 Travel Inclusive Zone, so you can roam in 75 destinations at no extra cost.

Applying your Volt benefits

If the name on your Virgin Media broadband account matches the name on your O2 mobile account, your Volt benefits will be added automatically within 14 days, unless you were already a customer of both before 18 October 2021, in which case you'll need to go into My O2 to activate your benefits.

If your broadband and mobile accounts are in different names, or the names don’t match (eg Chris and Christopher), you’ll need to activate your Volt benefits in My O2, and they’ll be applied within 14 days.

You'll also need make sure the address on your O2 account matches the address on the Virgin Media broadband account, whether it’s in your name or someone else in your household. If they don’t quite match, you can edit your address in My O2.

If you’re unsure, you can check in My O2 seven days after you’ve placed your O2 order. If you think everything's correct and still aren't seeing the options to activate your benefits, give us a call on 202 from your O2 mobile.
