How to report fraud on your O2 account
If you've had any texts, emails, letters or calls saying you've bought any of our products or services when you haven't, or if money has been taken from your bank account for something you haven't bought, you could be the victim of identity fraud. This could happen if you’re an O2 customer or not. Learn more about Fraud on your O2 account.
To report any suspected fraudulent activity you should contact us as soon a possible.
You can call us on 202 (free from your O2 phone), or on 0344 809 0202 (standard UK rates apply). Monday-Friday 8am-9pm, Saturday 8am-8pm, Sunday 8am-6pm.

Make sure you give us details of what’s happened. Please include any mobile or account numbers you might have received correspondence for, and let us know your contact details, so we can get back to you. If you have already have a police or Action Fraud crime number, include that too.
If money has been taken from your bank account or credit card, let your bank or card provider know immediately, and they'll stop any further use. They'll also tell you how to get your money back. You should also report this to Action Fraud, the UK's national reporting centre for fraud and cyber crime, straight away.
Once your case has been raised, it’ll go directly to our dedicated fraud team who will conduct a thorough investigation. And, you’ll be notified once your case has been resolved.

Reporting a suspected scam
If you see a scam pretending to be from O2, please report it to us so we can investigate and shut down the scammers. You should also report your phishing experiences to report@phishing.gov.uk. This helps law enforcement organisations remove fraudulent sites.

Create a new email draft with ‘Phishing’ as the subject. Attach the suspicious email and send it to spam@o2.com.
Forward the message to the organisation that it claims to be from.
Forward the text, including the phone number or company name, to 7726. It won’t cost you anything and it means we can investigate the sender
If your phone supports SPAM reporting then press the SPAM button to automatically forward the message to 7726
Information shared to 7726 will be available to all mobile operators, the Information Commissioner’s Office and various approved organisations that are involved in criminal investigations, to enable them to identify the senders.
