Special Numbers

The table below gives you the cost per minute for calling Non Geographic numbers.

Please note, the standard minimum call charge of 5p for Pay Monthly or 10p for Pay & Go applies unless otherwise stated.

*O2 Callers usually have to dial the number without the leading ‘0’.

Changes to inclusive minutes allowance

Please note that if you connected or upgraded to a new tariff on or after 1 February 2008 the numbers that form part of your inclusive minutes allowance will change from 30 September 2008 as set out in your tariff terms.  Click here to view your tariff terms for full details of the change.

Temporarily Suspended Numbers

The following numbers have been temporarily barred as O2 is currently in dispute with the providers of these services. We are trying to resolve this so that access can be restored.

079785, 078225, 079789, 078730, 078931, 079118, 079112, 078223 and 079780

Free Numbers

There are some 0800 numbers, normally Telephone Helplines, which are free to call, for example: 0800 1111 (ChildLine), 0800 441111 (Bullying Helpline),  0800 400222 (ChildLine – Textphone), 0800 555111 (Crimestoppers) and 0800 7383773 (0800 Reverse).

Calls to these free numbers will not be taken from your inclusive minutes allowance on any Pay Monthly tariffs, or your free minutes allowance on any Pay & Go tariffs. 

It is also free for Pay Monthly customers to call O2 Customer Service numbers.

03 Numbers

Ofcom has introduced 03 numbers as an alternative to chargeable 08 numbers e.g 0870.

Calls to 03 numbers will cost the same as other standard fixed line numbers (starting 01 or 02), and are included as part of any inclusive or free minutes allowances on O2 tariffs.
