Recycling phones for good
The City of Edinburgh Council works in partnership with the private and third sectors to tackle youth unemployment. The Council wanted to use phone recycling to raise both funds and awareness of its youth unemployment initiative, known as Edinburgh Guarantee.
O2 provided recycle points for phones, in council offices and partners' offices around the city of Edinburgh. This is delivering on-going benefits with revenues coming into the Edinburgh Guarantee plus offers of support.
"The revenue coming back into the Guarantee helps us pay for elements that wouldn't otherwise be met and can make a big difference to individuals." Ken Shaw, Head of Employability and Skills, The City of Edinburgh Council.
