Broadband - orders and accounts

Before you order Business Broadband, here are a few things you may need to know.

About Business Broadband

How do I get Business Broadband?

You can order by calling your account manager if you have one, or call us direct on 0800 977 7337.

We’ll need:

  • Your current landline number, if you have one. If you don’t, we can put in a line for you
  • Your address and delivery address
  • Your mobile phone number and email address
  • Your bank account number and sort code

You no longer need a MAC code to switch providers.

What extra services come with Business Broadband?

For full details about our packages and what they include, go to o2.co.uk-broadband-business

Can I move to O2 Business Broadband from another provider?

Yes, any time.

If you want to move your home phone to us too, you just need to place an order – call us on 0800 380 0402

What connection speed should I expect?

Speed depends on a lot of things but mainly, it comes down to the length of the line between your office and the local telephone exchange – the shorter the line, the quicker the connection.

Can I get Business Broadband if I don't have an O2 Business mobile phone?

It doesn't matter if you have one of our mobile phones or not. As long as Business Broadband is available in your area, you can sign up.

But if you do have an O2 Business mobile you'll get O2 Business Broadband at £5.00 a month less than non-O2 customers.

How long does it take to get connected to O2 Business Broadband?

We can get you set up in 5-10 working days.

Your new O2 Router

When will my O2 router arrive?

We’ll text you when we’ve got a delivery date for you.
It’ll arrive between 8am and 6pm and someone will need to sign for it.

Can I change the delivery address of my O2 router?

Yes, call us on 0800 977 7337.

The router needs to be signed for so you might want to change the delivery address if you're not going to be available.

How do I return my O2 router?

Call us free on 0800 977 7337.

  • If it’s damaged we’ll repair or replace it for free – unless you’ve damaged it yourself.
  • If you’re returning it because you’ve cancelled Business Broadband, please make sure it’s in full working order.
  • We’ll send you a pre-paid envelope and when you post it, make sure you get proof of postage from the Post Office.

What if I damage or lose my O2 router?

If you damage or lose it, you have to pay to fix or replace it.
But if it breaks down on its own, we’ll repair or replace it for free. Call us free on 0800 977 7337.

Billing

How do I get an O2 Business Broadband discount?

To get an O2 Business Broadband discount, all you need is an O2 Business mobile phone or O2 Landline on O2 – just tell us when your account becomes active.

Note: If you later decide to change your mobile or landline to another provider you’ll lose your discount.

What do I do if my O2 Business Broadband service is suspended?

If you can’t use the internet, it's usually because we haven't received your monthly payment.

Call us free on 0800 977 7337. We can normally switch it back on within a day.

Moving premises

I’m moving office – what do I do?

To move your broadband only, call and tell us:

  • The date your new landline phone line goes live
  • Your new address
  • Your new telephone number
  • When you’d like your service to end at your current address

You can give us these details up to 2 weeks before you move.
Once your new landline phone line is up and running, it will take about 5 days to get your broadband sorted.
Call us free on 0800 977 7337.

Note: To cancel your move we’ll need a minimum of 2 days’ notice.

There's no O2 Business Broadband service at my new address. What do I do?

To move to another provider if your 12-month minimum term has ended, just give us 7 days' notice (on a 30 day contract, you’ll need to give us 30 days’ notice).

Make sure you send back your O2 router in its box within 30 days of the service ending (otherwise you could be charged).

If your minimum term is still running, there'll be a charge for early cancellation. Don’t forget to give us enough notice.

What should I take with me when I move?
  • Your O2 wireless box.
  • The setup CD (you can download a fresh copy online from My Broadband).
  • The quick start guide.
  • The grey DSL cable (to connect your router to the phone line).
  • The yellow or white Ethernet cable (to connect your computer to the box).
  • The broadband filters (they look like telephone adapters: be sure to take any of these that may be spread around different rooms in your premise).

When will my broadband start working at my new premises?

Once we’ve turned off your old broadband (usually the day you move out, though we can do it earlier if you prefer) and everything’s ready at your new premise, we'll let you know by text and email.

Then you can plug in your O2 router, pop the CD in your computer and run through the usual setup process.

Do I need to pay any extra to be connected at my new premise?

You may need to pay for a new phone line, or to convert an existing phone line.

If you’re moving premises, call us free on 0800 977 7337 we’ll talk you through it.

There’s no charge for moving your home broadband unless you move more than once in 12 months. There’s a £50.00 charge if you move again.

Cancel my account

Can I cancel my Business Broadband?

Yes.

If you’ve been with us less than the contract term, there’s a fee (unless you’re in your 30-day happiness guarantee).

To cancel after the guarantee but before your contract ends, we’ll need 30 days' notice and you’ll have to pay for the rest of the time on your contract. We'll add the fee to your final bill.

But if you're not happy, we'd like to put things right so please call us free on 0800 977 7337.
