Why are the prices changing?

This is a contractual term we must apply consistently in line with Ofcom's guidance. We also face increased costs associated with running our network and supporting our customers. These include rising energy costs plus the investment required to support the growing demand on our network. 

April 2024 price rise – what it means for you

 If you joined on a Small Biz tariff From 25 March 2021
  Other Business customers

If you joined on a Small Biz tariff from 25th March 2021 onwards

If you connected to a Small Biz tariff (Small Biz, Small Biz SIM Only, Small Biz data only or Mobile Broadband SIM Only), since 25 March 2021, your rental charges will increase each year by the RPI rate of inflation announced in February, plus 3.9%. If RPI is negative, we only apply 3.9%. You’ll see these changes on your April 2024 bill onwards.

This year's RPI rate was published on 14 February 2024 and was 4.9%​.

Other Business customers

If you connected to any of the below before 25 March 2021, your rental charges will only increase by the RPI inflation announced in February each year. If RPI is negative, your rental charges will stay the same. You’ll see these changes on your April 2024 bill onwards.

  • Business Essentials airtime plan
  • Business Tariff (i.e. Business, Business Sharer, Business SIM Only, Business Data Only, Best for Business Pay As You Use (PAYU), Mobex and any proposition that allows you to share data, minutes and texts)
  • Pop Up Office tariffs or a Small Biz tariff (i.e. Small Biz, Small Biz SIM Only, Small Biz Data Only and Mobile Broadband SIM Only tariffs) before 25 March 2021. 

    The rate was published on 14 February 2024 and was 4.9%.

Our terms and conditions state (and our advertising would have made clear) that your monthly subscription charge would be adjusted by the RPI rate published each February and that the adjustment would appear on your April bill. This year’s RPI was published on 14 February 2024 and was 4.9%.
 

If you signed up on or after 25 March 2021


If you've got a Small Biz tariff

All Small Biz tariffs purchased after 25 March 2021 will be increased by the RPI rate of inflation announced in February, plus 3.9%. If RPI is negative, we’ll only apply the 3.9%. You’ll see this increase on your April 2024 bill onwards.

If you've got a Business Essentials tariff 
If you're on a Business Essentials tariff your Airtime Plan is subject to the RPI rate of inflation.

Checking your bill

RPI adjustments appear in your April bill. To make sure that everything is as it should be, sign in to My O2 Business to review your account information.
