O2 Travel

All the minutes, texts and data you need when travelling

O2 Travel for Pay Monthly

Planning to travel outside of our Europe Zone and don’t have the O2 Travel Inclusive Zone Bolt On or the O2 Travel Inclusive Zone Ultimate Bolt On? Adding the O2 Travel Bolt On means you can stay in touch, even when you’re thousands of miles away.

For the fixed price of £7 a day (for the days that you use it), you get unlimited minutes, texts and data in 63 destinations outside Europe (including USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand & Mexico).

If you have a Spend Cap, the price of the O2 Travel Bolt On won’t be included in your Spend Cap.

Albania, Anguilla, Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belarus, Bermuda, Botswana, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cape Verde, Cayman Islands, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Ghana, Greenland, Grenada, Guatemala, Guinea, Guyana, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Montserrat, Myanmar, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Qatar, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Turks & Caicos, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela, Yemen, Zambia

O2 Travel for Pay As You Go

O2 Travel lets you stay connected if you’re travelling to Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey, Monaco or Switzerland. For the days you choose to use data, you'll only be charged a daily rate of £1.99 – and this gets you 100MB. Your daily rate will automatically end at midnight UK time or when you reach your daily data allowance.

To check if O2 Travel covers your destination, check our destination guide.

How does O2 Travel work?

You’ll only pay for the days that you use it. If you don’t use it, there’s no charge.

The daily charge covers 24 hours from first usage and is triggered if you make a call, send a text or use data. It won’t be triggered by receiving calls or texts.

On Pay Monthly, there’s no limit on data usage. You can make unlimited calls back to the UK and within your destination. Calls to other countries aren’t included and will be charged at standard roaming rates.

While roaming, data speeds are capped at 2Mbps (that’s fast enough to watch standard definition Netflix on your mobile).

How do I get O2 Travel?

Before you set off, sign in to My O2 to check if you have it.

If you’re on a Pay Monthly plan, get the O2 Travel Bolt On by texting TRAVEL to 23336 or add it in My O2.

If you’re on Pay As You Go, text TRAVELON to 21300 or add it in My O2. If you use up your 100MB allowance and want to get more data in the same day, you can text MORETRAVEL to 21300, to get another 100MB for £1.99.

If you don’t activate O2 Travel, or you visit a destination that isn’t covered, you’ll pay our standard rates. Find out more about each destination.
