Short terms

O2 Pay As You Go customers only, excluding Mobile Broadband. 18+. Top up £15 or more between 9 Nov 2017 – 3 Jan 2018 to be eligible. How to enter: Eligible customers text “FORTUNE” to 21500 by 3 January 2018.  No purchase necessary in Northern Ireland only. NI customers email O2Promotions@imimobile.com to enter. Prizes: 5 x £10,000 Instant Win prizes are available. 56 x £50 daily prize draw prizes to be won, 1 winner per day.  How to win: Entrants will be assigned a random promotional number on entry. To win, entrant’s promotional number must match one of the 5 randomly selected winning numbers. There is no guarantee that all 5 winning numbers will be matched or that all Instant Win prizes will be won. Entrants who don’t win the Instant Win prize are automatically entered into the £50 daily prize draw for the day they entered. Entry for the daily draw closes at 23.59 each day.  One entry per day per person and one entry per top up. Daily prize draw winners will be drawn the next working day after entry closes. Full terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the Find a Fortune Promotion (the “Terms”). Participation and/or claim instructions form part of the “Terms” which you will be deemed to have accepted if you participate. Please read the following Terms carefully and keep a copy for your information.

  1. Promotional Period
    From 00:01 GMT on 9 November 2017 to 23:59 GMT on 3 January 2018
  2. Entry Period for the daily prize draw
    Daily prize draw windows will open at 00.01 GMT and close at 23:59 each day during the Promotional Period.
    Each day’s winner will be drawn the next working day after entry closes.
  3. Participation Criteria: All O2 Pay and You Go customers (excluding Pay As You Go Mobile Broadband customers) who meet the following criteria will be eligible to win the Prize(s):
    • UK resident;
    • aged 18 or over;
    • topped up £15 on any day during the Promotion Period;
    • Customers who have won an Instant Win prize will not be eligible to win any further prizes in the Promotional Period.
  4. How to enter:
    1. To enter the Instant Win eligible customers text  ‘FORTUNE’ to shortcode 21500 free of charge by 3 January 2018. Northern Ireland residents can also enter the promotion without purchase by emailing their name, date of birth, full Northern Ireland address and mobile telephone number to: O2Promotions@imimobile.com. One entry per day per person and one top up per entry.
    2. All entrants who do not win the £10,000 Instant Win prize will be automatically entered into the £50 Daily Prize Draw for the date on which they entered. One entry per person per day. Entries are not rolled over.
    3. No other methods of participation are available.
  5. How it works:
    Instant Win

    All eligible entrants will be assigned a random number. On entry Entrant’s number will be cross referenced to see if it matches one of of the five randomly selected winning numbers allocated to each of the five £10,000 cash prizes. If the numbers match, the entrant wins £10,000. If no one matches a winning number then the corresponding prizes will not be won. The Instant Win prizes have been fairly and randomly linked to an independently verified algorithm. Although all prizes will be available to be won, there is no guarantee that all prizes will be won.
    Daily Prize Draw
    Entrants who have not matched one of the five winning numbers will be entered into the £50 Daily Prize Draw for their day of entry. £10,000 winners will not be entered into the Daily Prize draw. The next working day after each Daily prize draw entry window closes, qualifying entries will be pooled and 1x £50 winner will be drawn randomly under independent supervision. Entries will not be rolled over into the next Daily Prize Draw.
  6. Prizes:

    5 x £10,000 Instant Win prizes are available to be won in the Promotional Period.
    Daily Prizes
    56 x £50 daily prize draw prizes available, 1 £50 winner per day.
  7. This Instant Win and Daily Prize Draw (together the “Promotion”) is open to all individuals complying within the Participation Criteria above, excluding employees of O2, or any of its subsidiary companies, their families, agents or anyone else connected with this Promotion. No third party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted. O2 reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants. O2 may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of a participant and the Prizes may be withheld until and unless O2 is satisfied with the verification.
  8. Entries not complying with these Terms will be invalid.
  9. The Promotions runs during the Promotional Period from the Opening Date until the specified Closing Date.
  10. How to claim a prize: All Instant Win & Daily Prize Draw winners will be notified by telephone or text to the O2 mobile phone from which they entered, the next working day following their corresponding win. All winners must claim their prize within 1 week of being notified. The Prizes are awarded conditionally upon acceptance and if a winner is unable to be contacted or to accept the Prize after 1 week of notification or if any Prize is unclaimed or declined within 1 week of notification, the Prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted. 10. £10,000 Instant Win prizes deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted will not be re-entered into the prize pool. A supplementary £50 Daily Prize winner may be drawn at O2's discretion if a prize is deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted.
  11. How the prizes will be delivered: Prizes will be fulfilled within 28 days of winners confirming their Prizes and the Prizes will be sent in the form of a personal cheque sent by First Class Royal Mail.
  12. O2 will not be responsible for any inability of a Prize winner to take up the specified Prize.
  13. O2 reserves the right to provide substitute Prize(s) of similar value should the specified Prize(s) become unavailable for reasons beyond its control. Credit alternatives will not be offered. None of the Prizes are transferable. O2 will endeavour to promptly update any relevant information but cannot issue refunds for texts sent or calls made before this occurs (where applicable).
  14. O2 accepts no responsibility for incorrectly completed, lost or delayed participation, notices, acceptances, tickets or other documents related to the Prize(s).
  15. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any affected entries/claims. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
  16. O2 reseves the right to amend these Terms at any time and will do so by placing a notice at the end of these terms. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
  17. The winner(s) may be required to participate in publicity connected with the Promotion and it is a condition of winning that the winner(s) agree to their name and country of residence being made publicly available if they win.
  18. The full names and countries of the major winner(s) may be obtained by sending a signed handwritten request along with a stamped self-addressed envelope detailing your request to the Marketing Team, Telefónica UK Limited, 260 Bath Road, Slough SL1 4DX, and marked with the name of the promotion.

  20. O2’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  21. O2 reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend this promotion and/or review and revise these Terms at any time without giving prior notice.
  22. This Promotion is governed by English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
