3 Months Free Manufacturer's Warranty Extension for Eligible Customers terms and conditions (Aug-Sept 2015)

This promotion, under which O2 will provide a free 3 month extension of the manufacturer’s warranty for eligible customers’ who pass a phone MOT health check by an O2 Guru  (“Health Check”) ( the “Promotion”), is being promoted by Telefónica UK Limited having its registered office at 260 Bath Road, Slough SL1 4DX ("O2"). Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions govern the Promotion.
You are an Eligible Customer if:

  1. you are an O2 customer and the manufacturer’s warranty for your phone is still current;
  2. O2 has contacted you about a free Health Check; and
  3. you make and attend a Health Check appointment before the earlier of: (i) 1 November 2015; or (ii) the expiry of your manufacturer’s warranty.

Health Check appointments are subject to availability and on a first come first served basis.
Health Checks are diagnostic checks and phones will not be repaired at the appointments.    
If an Eligible Customer’s phone passes a Heath Check, O2 will extend the Eligible Customer’s manufacturer’s warranty for an additional three months from the expiry of the manufacturer’s warranty (“Warranty Extension”).
If an Eligible Customer fails a Heath Check no Warranty Extension will be provided.
Whether a phone passes or fails a Heath Check is at the sole discretion of the O2 Guru.  A phone will likely fail a Heath Check if there is any damage or fault to the phone that would not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty or if there is any customer damage such as water damage and cracked screens.
Eligible Customers who receive a Warranty Extension will receive a Health Check certificate (“Certificate”) by email.  The Warranty Extension can only be redeemed in an O2 store, on presentation of a valid and current (i.e. not expired) Certificate.   Certificates can be presented in digital or printed form but the Warranty Extension will not be redeemable without presentation of Certificate.
A Warranty Extension will provide no further coverage than that provided to the customer under the terms of the original manufacturer’s warranty.  To take advantage of a Warranty Extension, customers must bring the phone under Warranty Extension and a copy of the Certificate in to an O2 store.  If the damage is covered under the terms of the existing manufacturer’s warranty, O2 will arrange for repair or replacement of the phone at O2’s cost.  If the damage is not covered under the terms of the existing warranty any repair or replacement will be at the customer’s cost.
Certificates are not transferrable and can be redeemed only by the customer and for the device and IMEI number listed.  No cash alternatives are available. This Promotion is not available in conjunction with any other promotional offer.
This Promotion does not affect your statutory rights.
This Promotion is subject to availability and O2 reserves the right to change or withdraw this Promotion at any time. If we decide to withdraw this Promotion we will include an update at the top of these terms and conditions.
