Volt terms for O2 customers – Full Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern this Offer and only form a part of your O2 customer contract once an eligible order for your O2 services, to be supercharged with Volt, has been accepted by O2. Participation instructions form part of the Terms which you will be deemed to have accepted if you participate. Please read the following Terms carefully and keep a copy for your information. In these Terms “our”, “we” or “O2” means Telefonica UK Limited, 260 Bath Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 4DX.
Please note that whilst you may be eligible for this Offer as you have certain O2 and Virgin Media services registered at your residential address, separate contracts apply to your O2 and Virgin Media services and the relevant account holder(s) will be billed separately for these services. If you have a registered O2 account in relation to this Offer, your contract for your Eligible O2 Tariff is with Telefonica UK Limited. If you are the registered account holder for the Virgin Media services at your home in relation to the Offer, your contract for your Qualifying Virgin Media Purchases is with Virgin Media Limited and Virgin Payments Limited. You may still be eligible for this Offer even if you are the registered account holder for only one of the O2 or Virgin Media services.
The “Offer”: Customers who have an Eligible O2 Tariff and make, have made, or benefit from the services of a Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase (a “Participant”) will have their Eligible O2 Tariff supercharged with Volt as follows:
Double data: The monthly data allowance for your Eligible O2 Tariff will be doubled for all tariffs up to 250GB. For all tariffs of 250GB and over, we will boost your data allowance to unlimited. This double data will not rollover. If your Eligible O2 Tariff already includes unlimited data you will not receive an increased data allowance as part of this Offer.
O2 Travel Inclusive Zone: O2 Travel Inclusive Zone will be added to your Eligible O2 Tariff. For details about O2’s O2 Travel Inclusive Zone see: https://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/mobile/o2travel-paymonthly-terms-and-conditions. If (i) your Eligible O2 Tariff already includes O2 Travel Inclusive Zone, (ii) you have already added O2 Travel Inclusive Zone to your Eligible O2 Tariff, or (iii) your Eligible O2 Tariff is a tablet, you will not receive an O2 Travel Inclusive Zone as part of the Offer.
Connected device discount: If you buy a handset with a new O2 Custom Plan, you’ll get up to £150 off a connected device bought on an O2 Custom Plan either in one of our stores (including franchise stores), or through O2 telesales. The minimum discount is £25 but the actual amount applied against the connected device depends on the value of the handset O2 Custom Plan you purchase.
The double data and O2 Travel Inclusive Zone elements of this Offer will also be applied to every O2 Pay Monthly subscription (excluding Smart Watches and Sharer tariffs) which: (i) has your name as the account holder name, (ii) has your address listed as the account holder address and (iii) has the same address listed on the Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase (“Eligible O2 Household Tariffs”). The application and operation of the double data and O2 Travel Inclusive Zone elements of this Offer will apply in exactly the same way to the Eligible O2 Household Tariffs as they will to your Eligible O2 Tariff.
If you qualify for this Offer your Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase will also be supercharged with Volt. The Volt benefits for your Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase are governed by the terms of the registered account holder's separate contract with Virgin Media (which can be found at: https://www.virginmedia.com/join/terms-and-conditions), as applicable, which includes an explanation of which Virgin Media consumer broadband package(s) are eligible for being supercharged with Volt, what the Volt benefits are, and the steps which need to be taken to receive the Volt benefits for your Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase
The Offer is subject to acceptance of additional terms and eligibility criteria.
The Offer will be applied to your Eligible O2 Tariff and Eligible O2 Household Tariffs (if any) within 14 days of your Eligible O2 Tariff order date or Virgin Media service activation date.
If you are an existing O2 customer who already has an Eligible O2 Tariff (and any Eligible O2 Household Tariffs) and an existing Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase, you will need to visit the ‘my offers’ section of your My O2 online account to unlock the Volt benefits for your O2 services, and Virgin Media services if the relevant account is registered in your name, which will be applied within 7-10 days of you doing so.
If you are an existing O2 customer who already has an Eligible O2 Tariff (and any Eligible O2 Household Tariffs) and an existing Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase, but it is registered under another resident’s name at your residential address, then by visiting the ‘my offers’ section of your My O2 online account to unlock the Volt benefits for your O2 services, the Virgin Media services at your address will also be automatically supercharged with Volt within 7-10 days of you doing so, and the Virgin Media account holder at your residential address could become aware of your O2 account.
Eligibility & Participation
To participate you must have purchased an Eligible O2 Tariff and make, have made, or benefit from the services of a Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase.
“Eligible O2 Tariffs” means any consumer O2 Pay Monthly subscription excluding Smart Watches and Sharer tariffs purchased directly (from O2 stores (including franchise stores), online at o2.co.uk, or through our O2 telesales) or indirectly. Tariff eligibility criteria may apply which includes, but is not limited to, being a UK resident and being over 18.
A “Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase” is the purchase of a Virgin Media Limited and Virgin Payments Limited (“Virgin Media”) consumer broadband package as set out in more detail at https://www.virginmedia.com/join/terms-and-conditions, whether made by you directly with Virgin Media or which is registered at the same residential address as your Eligible O2 Tariff.
O2 may, at its sole discretion, identify which tariffs or products are eligible or no longer eligible for this Offer. O2 shall identify Eligible O2 Tariffs in selected promotional material. Devices or tariffs may only be eligible for this Offer at certain times, so please check marketing material.
Purchases made through a third party distributor other than nominated indirect channels are excluded and do not qualify for this Offer.
You will not be able to unenroll from the benefits of this Offer once they have been activated, unless you decide to cancel both your Eligible O2 Tariff and Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase (or if the Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase registered at your addressed is cancelled by the account holder). Please note you may still be eligible for (and subsequently continue to receive) the benefits if you retain either one of your Eligible O2 Tariff or Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase.
If you cancel your Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase within 14 days of your Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase order date, or it is otherwise cancelled by the account holder, you may become ineligible for this Offer which may result in the Offer being removed (if applied) from your Eligible O2 Tariff and any Eligible O2 Household Tariffs.
If you cancel your Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase after the 14 day period referred to above, or it is cancelled by the account holder, the Offer may be removed when you next upgrade your O2 services.
If we remove your Offer in accordance with these Terms, your O2 services shall continue unaffected.
Qualifying Virgin Media Purchases will also be subject to their own terms and conditions and eligibility criteria including without limitation the standard terms and conditions of residential customer service agreement for Virgin Media Television, Virgin Broadband and Virgin Phone Services which can be found at: https://www.virginmedia.com/shop/the-legal-stuff. Participants should familiarise themselves with these terms before participating in this Offer.
In the event your Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase is supercharged with Volt in accordance with clause 3 of these terms and conditions, you may receive additional equipment in order to benefit from the Virgin Media services supercharged with Volt at your residential address.
In the event that you are no longer eligible for the Offer and the Volt benefits for your Virgin Media services are removed, then if those services are registered in your name, you will be responsible for keeping the equipment safe and returning it to use in the packaging sent to you. Failure to send the equipment back (and in the condition it should be) to us in this scenario may mean you are charged the full value of the equipment by Virgin Media. For customers who have been supercharged with Volt or have had their Volt order accepted, O2 reserves the right to change or withdraw the Volt benefits applicable to your relevant O2 services or vary these Offer Terms in accordance with the terms and conditions of O2’s Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement. Otherwise, this Offer may be changed or withdrawn at any time and it shall not constitute a contractual modification for those existing O2 customers who already have an Eligible O2 Tariff (and any Eligible O2 Household Tariffs) and an existing Qualifying Virgin Media Purchase, but did not place an order to unlock their Volt benefits pursuant to paragraph 5 above prior to such change or withdrawal. In the case of amendment or withdrawal a notice will be posted at the top of these Terms.
