As part of its commitment to offering a world-class service, London Underground wanted to update its old system for delivering real time information to employees on station platforms. The organisation had been using old PDA devices, which were not providing essential information quickly.
O2 recommended that London Underground took advantage of the BlackBerry solution already in place, and asked O2 partner, Interchange, to write an application for BlackBerry that would deliver the dynamic information needed, while providing a very simple and robust user interface.
