Smarter Working Britain

How improved connectivity will benefit the UK's police forces

We've worked with an independent research group, the Centre for Economic and Business Research (Cebr) to put real numbers around the impact of better connectivity and remote access technologies.

The report found that giving police officers full access to business information systems and software applications, both in and out of stations can lead to a total potential economic benefits amount of £221 million a year.

The report summarises the economic benefits of improved connectivity for protective service occupations (e.g. frontline officers) and non-protective service occupations (e.g. back-office workers).
