We work hard to operate responsibly and reduce our business impacts year on year, earning recognition and accolades from industry and stakeholders, including Business in the Community (BITC), the National Business Awards and Ethical Corporation.
We've also won four consecutive Carbon Trust standards since 2008, and were the first mobile telecoms company to get the triple standard: for carbon, water and waste.
Our supply chain policies require that we only do business with those who share our vision, have similar policies in place and commit to joining us on this journey.
The way we're organised makes our plan business as usual. With regular meetings of our Sustainability and Responsibility Council. Big Thinker champions across our business and a CEO who is passionate about sustainable business.
We manage risk and reputation through mechanisms like environmental management systems, including ISO 14001; policies in areas like health and safety, procurement, child safety, and regular sustainability reporting.

Again, partnership plays a vital role. For example, our network sharing agreement with Vodafone, and the global roll-out of Eco rating, supported by both Vodafone and Orange.

Over the course of our second Blueprint, we'll better measure our impact on society and the environment as well as how our activities make a contribution to the bottom line.
Responding to the biggest challenge our planet faces, we commit to playing our part in supporting the global 1.5°C climate change target, as discussed by governments at the Paris Climate Change Conference in 2015. We'll aim to do this by helping people to achieve carbon savings through the use of our products and services, which will help the UK to deliver on its global targets.

Everyone is encouraged to get involved; and they're kept aware of the importance of doing the right thing through our day to day business principles. For example, to help deliver our ambition, a Think Big element is written into each employee's personal objectives.
Our employee platform, MyThinkBig, tracks staff involvement so we can recognise and reward taking part in our programmes. When new people join, we direct them to the welcome lounge, which encourages people to Think Big as soon as they arrive.
