Getting started

To register for Group Chat you can either call us on 2244 free from your O2 mobile and select option 4 to register a password, or send a text to 2244 with the password of your choice. You can also register online:

How to hold a Group Chat

  1. You'll need to tell everyone when it starts and give them your O2 mobile number. This is what they'll use as their entry code.
  2. Then as the host, you call 323 from your O2 mobile phone (or 07720 323 323 from a landline or other mobile network).
  3. Type in your entry code followed by # and record your name
  4. If callers arrive before you, they'll be put on hold and listen to music until you join the call.

How to join a Group Chat

  1. Dial 323 from your O2 mobile phone (or 07720 323 323 from a landline or other mobile network)
  2. Type in the host's mobile number as your entry code, followed by # and record your name

The Group Chat will only start once the host has dialled in. If you arrive before then, you'll listen to music until they join.

Pricing

  1. If you're on O2, calls are charged at 8p per minute, 24 hours a day
  2. If your not an O2 customer, calls are charged at your local rate
  3. Each caller pays for their own call charge and it doesn't cost you anything extra to be host or set up the call

Controls for everyone

Press... ...if you want to:
* 0 get help from the operator during the call
* 4 adjust the volume
* 6 mute/unmute the phone line; useful if you're somewhere noisy, like on a train

Controls for the host

Press... ...if you want to:
# # finish the call and get everyone else off the line
