Mobile InsuranceMis-SellingWatch out for the phoneysThere are companies that pretend to be O2, or lie about working with us. They might call you up and offer to upgrade your phone. They might also sign you up for things you weren't epxecting. We've already taken legal action against companies who've claimed to be calling from O2. Two of these companies were trying to sell mobile phone insurance. We only ever tell people about our own range of insurance, which you can find at o2.co.uk/insurance What if I get a suspicious call? You might get a welcome call from us soon after connecting. Don't give out any personal info. Note down as much about the conversation as you can and call our customer services team to let us know what happened. We'll try to pinpoint who they are and take action against them. What should I do if I get mis-sold an insurance policy? If you feel you've been misled into taking insurance, get in touch with the insurance company. Ask for their cancellation and complaints policy. You can also get in touch with Ofcom or the Financial Services Authority to tell them about mis-selling, which breaches distance selling regulations. Ofcom's number is 020 7981 3040. And their website is ofcom.org.uk. The FSA's number is 0845 606 1234. And their website is fsa.gov.uk.
