Here at O2, we're committed to protecting the environment and reducing our carbon footprint for a more sustainable future.

We're proud to be the first UK mobile company awarded the Carbon Trust Standard certificate.

We were also the first UK operator to certify our carbon footprint – we did this by working with our suppliers to install energy efficient equipment across our network.

In 2011, we were in the top 5% of over 2100 organisations and companies taking part in the Environment Agency's Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme.

We're working with other mobile providers like Vodafone to develop a single, multipurpose grid. This means we'll be able to cut the number of mobile masts needed by over 10%, lessening the impact of expansion on the environment.

In 2012, we launched Our Blueprint to help us manage our carbon emissions, help our customers to live more sustainably, and lead community projects for young people across the UK.
