What do you need?
O2 recommends:
- Novatel Merlin GPRS Cards, for use with Laptop PCs and IP-Sec based VPNs
- Pocket PC devices, including the Xda®, for use with Microsoft®'s PPTP VPN infrastructure
Mobile Web works with the following operating systems:
- Windows® 98, 98SE
- Windows® ME
- Windows® NT4 (SP4 and above)
- Windows® 2000 Professional
- Windows® XP
- Microsoft® PocketPC 2000 or PocketPC 2002
How do I get it?
Step 1
Check that your VPN is compatible with Mobile Web. The service is compatible with most leading VPN solutions, including:
- Cisco
- Nortel Connectivity
- Checkpoint Firewall-1
- Watchguard
- Sonic
- Microsoft® 2000/XP OS VPN client (PPTP
Step 2
Check that your chosen hardware and connection method are supported.
Step 3
Configure your VPN server and mobile devices. Small configuration changes may be needed to enable your VPN to work.
Step 4
Choose your Mobile Web tariff.
Step 5
Install the Mobile Web application.
Step 6
Connect and access VPN over Mobile Web. You now have secure LAN access, wherever you are.
