Looking for a way to generate revenue from your content services? O2 Premier Text lets you offer premium rate services via text to O2 customers.

How does it work?

  • You generate the content and choose one of our price points.
  • We send the message over our network and bill the customer (via their monthly bill or prepay credit).
  • We share the revenue with you.


What can I do?

  • Generate revenue from your content via Premier Text - from ringtones, logos, chat and dating services, to news, weather and share price alerts, and many others.
  • Allow customers to request services via a shortcode (see separate tariffs below).
  • Cover the costs of your text marketing campaigns with our 6p tariff.


What do I need?

  • A dedicated kilostream connection to the O2 SMS Centre
  • Software compliant with SMPP V3.3
  • Contracts with O2 for the provision of the Land to Mobile Text Messaging service, the Premier Text Messaging service, and if required a Shortcode contract

Land to Mobile message transmission rates apply to all Premier Text Messages delivered except for the 6p tariff where no charges are incurred.


Short codes

O2 also offers 5 digit short codes for text based services. These are ideal for use with premium rate services, as the shortcode is much easier for mobile users to remember and use when sending messages.

How long does it take to set up?

It usually takes 15 to 20 working days from receipt of your completed application forms to set up Premier Text Messaging.
