Mobile Extension (Mobex)

If your organisation has 80 or more mobiles, Mobex can combine your fixed and mobile phones under a single numbering plan. This gives you the convenience of short code dialling for all company numbers and reduces the cost of calls made between office landlines and mobiles.

Company mobiles simply become extensions to the main office telephone system through a direct link between your company's fixed voice network and our network. Internal calls can then be made to any mobile extension in the same way as a fixed extension, wherever the mobile user is – making calls, diverts and transfers so much easier. Mobex can even allow up to five people to conduct a conference call.

Implementation is easy

An O2 Customer Project Manager will work with you on site to ensure that Mobex is installed seamlessly. We’ll also help you communicate the change to your employees and the produce user guides that are specifically tailored to your company.

The savings are significant…

The low monthly subscription means that you only pay for what you use. You’ll also save on calls made from office fixed line phones to company mobiles and vice versa, as well as calls made between company mobiles. This includes mobile calls to up to 250 sites in your company that aren’t connected via the direct link.

You can also enjoy the discounted call rate to up to 10 external mobile numbers of your choice – allowing you to save on calls to key suppliers or customers.

Different call barring rules can be set up for separate sets of mobiles within your company, giving you even more control over costs. O2 Call Tagging allows you to manage the split between business and personal calls more efficiently. And with O2 Business Zones, you can save up to 46% on calls to your chosen STD codes.
