O2 has been a proud sponsor of the England Rugby Team since 1995 and are embedded in English rugby at all levels from the grassroots of the game to the glory of the England team. And our involvement extends beyond the elite level to grassroots rugby through a partnership with the RFU's Play On scheme. Play On is designed to encourage young rugby players to continue with the sport when they leave education, and includes support for O2 Pathfinders, who help 16-24-year-olds to keep playing by finding new players and clubs, and by running events such as O2 Scrum on the Beach, which launched in 2008.

O2 Scrum on the Beach will be returning to key venues across the UK in 2009 allowing fans to combine sun, sea, sand and rugby throughout the summer months, meet and train with their England heroes, and win prizes. O2 customers receive priority treatment in the blueroom on the beach, including, gifts, refreshments and massages from O2 Angels.
